The Setting
Some places naturally invite us to slow down.
Nestled in the high desert of Central Oregon, Green Rock Retreat Center offers a landscape that feels both expansive and grounding. Wide-open skies, ancient rock formations, juniper trees, and quiet trails create an environment where the pace of everyday life begins to soften.
In yoga, we often speak of finding support. Here, the landscape offers it.
Between sessions, you'll have opportunities to wander the trails, walk the labyrinth, sit beneath the prayer tree, cool off in the splash pool, or simply find a quiet place to rest and reflect. The spaciousness of the landscape invites the same spaciousness within.
Days are often warm beneath the high desert sun, while evenings are cool enough to gather comfortably around the fire beneath a sky filled with stars. The natural rhythms of the land gently encourage us to slow down, look up, and remember our place within something much larger than ourselves.
One of the greatest gifts of Green Rock is its simplicity. Removed from the pace and distractions of daily life, it offers a rare opportunity to be fully present with the natural world, your practice, and yourself.
This isn't simply where Dharma Immersion takes place.
It's part of the practice itself.
Accommodations
Dharma Immersion is intentionally designed as a shared retreat experience, and all accommodations are shared.
All shared accommodations are furnished with individual beds. Couples wishing to share a bed may request a private room for an additional fee, subject to availability.
Each glamping tent and geodome is thoughtfully situated on its own private platform and includes an exclusive open-air bathroom and shower for the occupants of that dwelling. Designed to blend comfort with the beauty of the natural surroundings, these spaces offer both privacy and a genuine connection to the landscape.
Room assignments are thoughtfully arranged to create a comfortable and supportive environment. Participants are generally paired with roommates of the same gender, and roommate requests are welcome whenever possible.
Shared accommodations are more than a practical arrangement—they're part of the practice. Living alongside one another invites us to cultivate presence, consideration, mutual respect, generosity, and awareness of how we share space with others.
Like many aspects of Dharma Immersion, these everyday moments become another opportunity to practice yoga beyond the mat.
