Sarah Sol
Sarah Sol Yoga is known for being authentic, intuitive, and inclusive. With over 20 years of experience as a yoga student, Sarah has explored various styles of yoga. She believes that yoga, when approached with curiosity and non-judgment, is one of the best healing modalities available to everyone.
Sarah's journey as a teacher began in New York City, where she studied acting and theater at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. In 2007, she transitioned to a full-time career in yoga instruction in Los Angeles, California. After relocating to Ashland, Oregon, with her family, Sarah continued to offer her students a wide range of public classes, private instruction, teacher trainings, mentorships, retreats, and online classes.
Sarah has been teaching yoga in Southern Oregon since 2014. When the COVID-19 pandemic forced yoga studios to close, she embraced online teaching, despite her initial reluctance. She now provides pre-recorded classes through the Online Donation Class Center for students at home.
Since the world has reopened, Sarah has launched in-person private sessions and group classes under her own platform, Sarah Sol Yoga, bringing the community back together while following safety protocols.
In 2023, she established Rogue Valley Yoga. Her dedication to her students and collaboration with local instructors created a welcoming environment for many local yogis to return to their practice after a long hiatus. She introduced a new concept in yoga studios, set in a cozy, geodesic structure that everyone affectionately calls “The Dome.”
By 2025, Rogue Valley Yoga had outgrown The Dome and moved to its current location in the Hersey Business Park in Ashland. With a fresh start and an established team of teachers, Sarah's mission is to gather yogis under one roof to foster a sense of community and to create space for each other, which she sees as her daily dharma.
Sarah Sol is a working mother of 2 young daughters. She’s no stranger to recovering from her own injuries, C-sections, surgeries with complications and major medical conditions. She has worked with several private clients who have come to her with various injuries, unique anatomies, illnesses, pregnancies, addiction, psychological and emotional difficulties.
Her own experiences and her years of working with students inform her ability to meet her clients right where they are. She sees the strength, beauty, and vitality in her clients and works with them toward their own empowerment and self-esteem.
Whether your intentions are purely physical or more complex in nature, Sarah can help you develop a safe and effective personal yoga practice that fits in with your lifestyle.
Sarah offers Yoga Teacher Trainings and mentorships. She served as the Director of Teacher Training at Rasa Yoga Center from 2015 until its closure in 2020. Sarah has refined her curriculum and now directs the yoga teacher trainings and mentorships at Rogue Valley Yoga. Her two-part foundational Vinyasa teacher training is thorough, demanding, and widely regarded as one of the most comprehensive available. These trainings come with full support from the studio from the very beginning, and Sarah continues to assist her teacher trainees as they embark on their teaching careers.
